Class: 8 - Lesson: 5 Variables and If Statements

Purpose: To learn about variables, the counter pattern and if statements, and to use them to create more complex input and output behaviour on the Circuit Playground.

No. of Classes

Three classes (one class = one and a half hours).

Material Required
  1. Desktop computer or laptop.
  2. Circuit Playground Express board.
  3. USB cable.
  4. Internet connection.
Prior Knowledge

Students should know:

  • board events
  • taking input from the buttons and toggle switch on the circuit Playground.
